This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Rooms round pool opposite restaurants are good, lower level

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Dont go, There is not one guest I stayed with who enjoyed themself. My poor 3 year old was begging to go home

Do not except a bungalow near the road that surrounds this complex i as was told by other holidaymakers who stayed here they were the ones that got robbed on a regular basis . the words quick getaway come to mind

don't choose the bungalows - poor outlook an isolated.
Local bar the Crazy Goat good fun and excellent food at Mustang Sally.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

This would be good in height of summer when really hot then open roof woudnt matter and definitely need transport of your own

an up and coming resort with a man made beach with nice modern shops,and the centro atlantico where you can get just about everything no massive hotels being put up a good location on the island 10-15 mins from the airport and just an hour from correlejo in the north and jandia in the south very clean and tidy with workmen painting walls and cleaners brushing the streets at 8 at night!

Caletta de Fuste is a very clean and tidy place although some building work is still going on, there is lots of variety with different bars,resturant's and shops.The beach is manmade and very well kept, hire of a pair of sun loungers for the day was 7.50 Euro's, a resort mostly for couples and families, with not much night life after midnight. We completely enjoyed our stay and would'nt esitate to return.

lots of good places to eat.excelant food at slowboat chinese restaraunt also at picadilly. they did excellant lamb in cointreau!!!!steakhouse also recomend. lovely breakfasts at tommy nockers

We love Caleta, and have been there 3 times since 2001. Particularly fond of the Blues Bar - try their French Coffee - and the Barca del Pescador restaurant, first class for service, food and ambiance.

Resort brilliant - restaurants absolutely superb. Standards of cleanliness and food fabulous. Never experienced such high standards. Try Fado Rock (Steakhouse) you won't be disappointed. Ate Italian, Chineese, Portugese, Steaks, and did not have a problem, food absolutely brilliant. Also try The Dome, English bar, food and entertainment both good.
We only dodged one timeshare guy, who left us alone after he got the message we were not interested.
Also, hire a car and get out and about - lovely island - try the zoo (Oasis Park), best family day out ever - but we did it cheaper ourselves than by the reps (even with the price of the car hire)!
Highly recommend this holiday.

I liked Caleta very much, but would not use this hotel again due to problems listed above. There are more hotels being built just out of the resort, but there is a footpath to them and also very good facilities there including a bowling alley, supermarket,shops and cafes. The weather in February was very bad, cloudy and quite cold so these are really needed.
We liked the Cavern Bar, run by one of Herman's Hermits who sings great 60's songs.
I recommend the Paprika snack bar for really delicous toasted sandwiches (Prawn mayo was best) very nice omelettes and friendly staff.
I would go to Caleta again but not in Winter as the weather is a lottery. I think May would be just right.

Loads of entertainment for kids. Lots of play areas in town and nice shopping centre to walk around. One of the most relaxing places I have ever been even though the flight path was over our hotel, this was only in the day though.

We found the resort to be man made and aimed at British Tourists. We struggled to find a decent tapas bar anywhere. Wandering around in the evening you could here Eastenders blaring out of the bars!!
If you want Spanish culture then avoid here and head to another area on the island.

very small not alot going on,hotels have the most of the entertainment.would recomend a visit to the irish bar,dirty nellys think its called gets packed from about 11 oclock onwards ,good kareoke if you like that kinda thing but most of all good atmosphere.
