Get a ground room floor as it will help as there are no lifts to the other floors so it can be a bit of a walk with a pram.
Make sure on the strip you visit the Meze restaurant with the funny symbols in the name. It is one of the best Meze places in Protaras. Also Molti was a great restaurant to stay in.

What can I say you have everthing on your door step.
For average age group 16 to 30 Ayia Napa 5 mins down the road.
25 to 60 Protaras centre great for people who want a good time with entertainment via Only Fools and Horses bar, Cheers bar and Kareoke bars all serving great food and cheap drinks[note expect to pay more for drinks in Ayia Napa]
5 mins the other way brings you to Paralimni should you want to have a quiet drink and just chill out.
Protaras? Don't miss out you will go back again & again

Had a great time in Protaras, can't wait to get back there In Aug 04. Stayed at the Vangelis (highly recommended). Beach lovely and clean, plenty of sunbeds. Loads of decent restaurants, we ate out every night for a fortnight and never experienced one bad meal. Our favourite places were, Erato (next to Vangelis) Bambos, Kaliva (lovely Kleftico), Yianna Marie and Island Affair. We don't like Karaoke or Elvis so weren't too impressed with the entertainment on offer in the Bars, but hey we were on holiday! Had a great time at the Waterpark in Napa, got a package from one of the places on the main drag, 15.00cyp for entrance and return coach per adult. I could go on for ever, but go on try it for yourselves, great place for families and couples.

the beach at fig tree bay is superb but sometimes a litle crowded, very clean plenty of bars and restruants to choose from

Protaras has changed over the years - it now seems to be the new Malaga! Full of tacky shops, bars and restaurants serving up the same spaghetti bolognese, steaks and dried up mousaka! We had preiously enjoyed stays in the Pernera Beach area but this is now rather run down.
Would I choose to visit again - I think not!

Brilliant resort , everybody there was realy friendly to the kids and we realy enjoyed our time there. would definatly go again. The beach was fantastic and the water sports were realy good. But when we reviseted in 2004 the prices had gone up quite a lot !

Protaras was great . The food was brilliant, and all the people who worked there were very friendly. But the prices have gone up again . And we have chosen to go elsewhere this year, but don't get me wrong it was a brilliant time and we would go again !

A clean well run resort with every kind of entertainment to cater for every taste. From water sports to karoke to fine cuisine. Why go elsewhere.

This resort is very quiet but you should already know this before you book. A small ride away in a taxi is where all the night life is.
