All rooms are good, but the pool side is best. the hotel food is very good and has a great choice to choose from.

We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby

The resort was very family origitated with plenty of scope. Loads of water sports including pedaloes. Unfortunately my family wern't fussed on beach as one of them seen a jelly fish but it was really very nice although you had to be quick in the morning to obtain a sunbed (which was free). They had there own water park which was very handy also with free enterance (5 lev for sunbeds and food had to be purchased). I would visit perhaps in a few years time as I think there will be more to do by then.

The beach is ok but very cluttered with sunbeds. The watersports are very cheap. We thought that most of the bars had karaoke on but they were actually local bands. Khans tent was a good night out. The resort is not particularly clean, there is a lack of rubbish bins so there was was some rubbish on the streets. You have to pay to go to the toilets in all restaurants and they are generally in a bad condition. The resort is family orientated and the nightlife after midnight is poor.

You have to be really careful of the pick pocketing kids however.- especially of a night.
There are loads of them about and they often go about in groups, hudling people. On a few ocassions one or two of them where nearly wearing my size tens'.
The entertainment is rubbish. All you will ever get is a man and a woman with a key board trying to sing. It's quite funny I suppose. Most of them cant pronounce their words properly. The beach is not that good either. Very overated.
Nessebar is worth a visit though. Dont get the boat as you get soaked! You are better off getting a bus as it's only bout 15p each one way whereas the boat trip is bout £3.50 per person.
Overall Sunny Beach is overated, they are well behind in the hospitality race. If fact they have not even started. Most are arrogant, expressionless people who want to take you for a ride with your money.
Me and my girlfriend will never ever enter the country of Bulgaria again.

This resort itself was quite clean. The entertainment was a problem at night, all the bars offered was music (not live) and very little else, there was a small fair for the children and some inflatables dotted along the see front but after a week our children got very bored at night.
Keep an eye on you bill receipts we got ripped off a few times, but your not aloud to argue about it, cause all of a sudden they wont understand English. Beach and sea were excellent.
If you are going beaware that its not as cheap as they make out in the brochures and they really don't cater for children in the resturants, if you drink lager its 60p a pint, but almost everything else is pretty much english prices even the food, except the cloths and stuff like that it is quite cheap.
I really will not be going back to Bulgaria, the people are not very friedly or welcoming!!!!

Sunny beach wont be having the pleasure of our company until the people find some respect from somewhere and being a large resort I doubt if they ever will.
Since arriving home all i've missed is the weather and now I'm looking forward to my holiday next year not in Bulgaria!!!!!!

We were situated inbetween Sunnybeach & Nesebar great location and some lovely hotels not sure if they catered any better for the English but they looked good.Can't really rate entertainment in the resort with hoesty as we spent most of the time in the John Smiths pub people in there are fantastic and a good night to be had by all, food great do a nice rump steak!

we really enjoyed sunny beach and would definately go back again, everything was really cheap eating, drinking and the sunbeds on the beach although if you go to the main beach you will not be able to sit on the sand near the sea you have to pay for a sunbed so we walked further along to the quieter part which was far nicer and you could sit on the bach near to the sea for the children to play better. we did encounter some jelly fish second week. The only downside is along the promenade they hire out golf buggies, mopeds, scooters to anybody who will pay them and they are a bit of a pain because they just come straight through thte middle of you, but we e did not find this too much of a problem. We used to go to Neptunes bar at night magician, parrot show for kids and Elvis and a good band called snow dogs for adults great food as well.

The resort has dramatically changed over the last six years that I have stayed here!
Too much developement in too small a space! The beach is just wall to wall people! Only at sunset when the beach is quiet that you appreciate it's true beauty.

Resort was very good - we stayed just a short ride, or 15 min walk from main area of Sunny Beach. Glad we didn't stay in main area as this seemed very busy - full of shops, bars etc and a bit noisy. Great to visit for your shopping and for a wander around a night. We stayed between Nessebar and Sunny Beach - our hotel was right on beach. Small amount of shops and bars/restaurants here that were no more expensive than main resort. Visited Aquapark at Nessebar - this was very good - spent most of day there. Free bus to the Aquapark. Did a Lazy Days boat trip which was really good - even bought video of the trip! Khan's Tent night out was briliiant would recommend this for everyone. Beach was clean and tidy. 6 lev per sun lounger and 6 lev per parasol. Sea was great for the kids, very shallow for a long way out. Watersports plentiful and good value. Would return to same area or may give Nessebar a go!!
