We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby

Resort is great and we really enjoyed visits to Nesebar.
Good prom for walking at night.
Victoria Palace in good position as it's just a bit away from the biz.
Beach is spotless although there is a continial drone from people selling ice cream etc.
No entertainment at our hotel at all although there were small bands playing at a number of restaurants, but all seemed to be the same type.

the resort is very clean nice friendly people especially in the restaurants. there is not much to do on a night time most of the entertainment appears to be only for the older generation. very nice beach.

Great resort. Plenty to do even for us more 'mature' people.
Many good eateries with hot plentyful food which was very cheap. MacDonalds (5 in the resort) is the most expensive place to eat.
A little noisy on the main drag alongside the Kuban Hotel.
The electric cars and scooters can be a nuisence, saw a kid knocked down by one on the front promenade.
Its a shoppers paradise and very cheap.
I will definately go again next year before its found by the lager louts and before it joins the EU and the prices start to rise.

We have now been to Sunny Beach five times in the last 15 years and have found it has improved.
It is a very clean resort apart from the beggars who pester you.
There is lots of entertainment in the resort and a lot of it free when in dine in restaurants and bars, most of the groups sing in english.
Nice clean beach.
Yes we would visit this resort again.

The beach was lovely but expensive for sunbeds. The resort itself was brilliant but you had to visit another hotel for entertainment and food.

We had a great holiday in Sunny Beach, it's very flat with lots of trees, and although it isn't a pretty or historic place it has a nice atmosphere, and for history you can visit nearby Nessebur, 50p return on the bus.
The resort is very clean, with lots to see and do especially if you love shopping, it's the cheapest place we have ever been to, and the quality of goods and amount of shopping totally gobsmacked us.
You can hire daisy bikes for 10 lev and hour golf buggies for 25 levs and hour and lots of scooters and little kids motorbikes, we had read about problems with all these but the promenade is very wide and there is lots of room for everyone.
There is lots of entertainment mostly bands in restaurants, and bars playing middle of the road stuff and they all sounded fine apart from the odd one, there are also little amusement parks for kiddies and plenty of toys in the shops.
We enjoyed eating out there are hundreds of nice restaurants we never had a bad meal,
The Marina on the beach was brilliant so was the Casino on the main square. You get plenty of variety Bulgarian cuisine is very tasty but you get salads, omelettes, pizzas etc everywhere.
The beach is huge, very clean with fine golden sand.
The only downside to the holiday is I got a tummy bug, a lot of the restaurants have outside privatised toilets most of the ladies who look after them keep them immaculate, but on the first day we didn't know this and used one which was a bit grotty to say the least, so if you have a weak bladder like me or are on water tablets you need to suss the toilets out, next year I will have my own route of clean toilets and will take disinfectant wipes and hand wipes with me plus Imodium. The chemist gave me tablets but it was a nasty upset.

To curtail an urban myth, you do not have to carry small coins (stotinki) wherever you go, and keep a supply of toilet rolls in both pockets. Every bar and restaurant we visited had toilets. Occasionally, there is a 10p charge in smaller venues. No problem, as this goes to people who need every penny. Bulgarians earn around £60 a month, so a few coins don't matter to us, do they?
This is a fantastic resort for families. Most restaurants provide some sort of entertainment. The groups/entertainers are of a good standard, and they make a real fuss of your kids. Our little girl (aged one) was smiled at by all, and Daddy even ended up starring in a magic show, but that's another story!
There is quite a lot of hastle outside bars, and restaurants, but a simple "no thanks", and a smile does the trick. Food in Sunny Beach is cosmopolitan, but bland. It is aimed at the mass tourist market, and there is litle Bulgarian fare on offer, unfortunately. Local drinks are all fine. Zagorski beer is refreshing, and if you are up for the harder stuff, the brandy and raki is good, but watch out in "Happy Hour", when you get four shots, if you ask for a double, and I'm speaking from experience!
As we travelled at the tail end of the season, things were obviously quieter, and the weather wasn't uncomfortably hot (maximum 25 degrees). It may be very different in peak season, we don't know. A week in the sun, with a huge beach, a nice swimming pool, friendly people, and loads of entertainment can't be bad though, can it?
Finally, here;s a few tips:
Do go to Bulgaria. It is quite an experience!
Hire a car, and see other places outside the maion resorts. Burgas is a nice city, Sozopol and Obzor are lovely little resorts. The villages are really quiet, and the local people are amazinly friendly. The roads are quite quiet, but be aware that Bulgarians are programmed to overtake any vehicle they can, at any time, and that the roads are full of potholes!
Learn some Bulgarian, a simple Dobre Utro, Blagodarya and Zdrave goes down well.
Remember that moaning is part of the British way of life. Don't be deterred by criticism. See for yourself. Our only bad point is the journey home:
The airport is appalling. Massive queues, disorganised chaos, grumpy staff, very poor duty free shop which does not accept Bulgarian currency, and an expensive cafeteria which does not accept Sterling! The aircraft are fine, and the stewardesses are fantastic.

Put this resort in Spain Portugal or Greece then fine - Other than that - Food in restaurants Awful - Whole pigs BBq'd then when that is cooked they put chicken over it and let all the juice off the chicken run onto the Pig !!
Prostitutes are plenty aged 13-30!!
People in shops, restaurants & beach are really rude and don’t deserve to have us visiting their country and bringing money through tourists.
Animal lovers beware - people are walking streets with baby crocodiles - snakes - Iguanas - A Big Bear with all chains round its head and neck, & horses that take you in a carriage round the resort - the horses look very distressed and are often stood in water but again no drinking water or food available + their tails are tied to the frame of the carriage so that they cannot wag them.. Like horses do!!
This place is apparently run by the Mafia, which sounds about right.
