All rooms are good, but the pool side is best. the hotel food is very good and has a great choice to choose from.

We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby

the beach and resort had to much hassle with touts trying to get you into restraunts etc.people trying to sell you rubbish and the street money changers ripping the unwary off, the airport security police had the manners of pigs, I think they still feel as if they are part of the old soviet system, sorry for being so negative but that is how it is.

Sunny Beach is an alcoholics paradise, drink is so cheap, you do not have too wander far to spot them. The resort was personally far too big and "British" for us. There was bungee jumping, bucking bronchos, tattoos etc. However, the food was of an excellent quality. We eat out all the time, it was so cheap and well prepared too. There is a great choice too. The beach was lovely, the weather was fab in May, not too hot, but a little cool at nightime. One or two bars had traditional Bulgarian nights too, although we didnt go. Buses are cheap, there is a little train that takes you through the resort, if you didnt want to walk. There is a nice place to visit too called Nessebar, only 10 min on bus and about 20pence! There are loads of taxis all trying to get your business, they will take you anywhere, but we didnt use them. We saw dophin which was an absolute highlight. The resort was a building site though, they are throwing hotels up, so there were diggers, lorries, steam rollers laying roads etc, so it took a few days to warm into this holiday. But, although I would not go back to this resort, I might go again to Bulgaria before the Euro gets there!

There were quite alot of building works going off I think they stop at the end of may. People were always sweeping roads to get dust up from the works.
Toilets are proper not like greece.
Entertainment was good you find what you like, there were Kareoke bars, nightclubs were really good just like here but not sure what time they close cos we left at 5am, you can get food at any time in certain parts so if you thought at 2am we fancy a pizza then you could get one.
Beach was nice went in sea but beware of jelly fish we went on boat trip and so loads but I didn't see any close in when just swimming near beach.
Go to Djanny's for a Kebab big one on a sword and a chickhen on spit if they have any left, go down central market place walking away from beach get to the main road go straight across and keep going down a bit and its on your left. We never had a bad meal anywhere or a dodgy stomach.
Its a bit upsetting when the beggers come to you and there about aged 2 upwards and some are deformed but we only saw about 6 through the hoilday until it rained on the last day and we saw loads on sea front.
People presure you to go in restaurants and shops but just say later and they leave you.
ONLY CHANGE MONEY AT CROWN EXCHANGE OR BANKS OR HOTEL THE REST ARE DODGY AND WILL RIP YOU OFF. we saw a few over the holiday that were conned.
The trip to KHANS tent is really good and worth the money there is shows all night and good food and excellent views and doesn't take long to get there. Go to laspalmos bar between 10pm-3am for buy one get one free. Even nightclubs are cheap.

The resort of Sunny Beach couldnt be cleaner. The beach was lovely with a varierty of water sports i.e.jet skiing, banana boats etc. and bars/resturants.
Everything was so cheap food, drinks and clothes etc. It only cost about £10 for a 3 course meals and drinks for 2 people.
The only downside the to resort was was alot of building work going on practially on every street.

Sunny Beach is an up and coming resort. Unfortunately to meet this they are carrying out building works year after year. We went last year and again the same 2 weeks this year. Not as much building work in the centre this year, which was better for us. Unfortunately it will be spoilt if they do not stop soon and end up like so many reorts in Spain. Please go sooner rather than later as things will change in 2007. The beaches are lovely, sea is warmer than pools, plenty of watersports. bars everywhere(you won't get thirsty!!!). Lots of shopping, fake designer gear everywhere, but it is good quality. Take an empty suitcase. The Bulgarian people are so warm and firendly, we have made so many friends over the last 2 years and they all remember you as well.
Have booked to go agin next year laready as missing it so much.
They just need to sort out the evening entertainment more and something for bored teenagers to do!!!

sunny beach was absolutley spotless. plenty going on plenty of resteraunts to choose from, the beach is gorgeous i would visit again.

Resort was fantastic, loads of places to sample the lovely cuisine of hte bulgarians, so much going on, (Karaokes's, disco bars, Bars for all ages Amenities on the beach all day and also in the evening.
Would reccomend this resort to even the most picky of clientele.

We loved our holiday so much so we have actually bought an apartment in sunny beach which is currently under construction! The resort is undergoing a major transformation as it tries to lure more and more brits. However this does mean that the resort is currently A MAJOR BUILDING SITE and will be for a while to come I think.
However the beaches are fantastic and food and drink dirt cheap well worth a visit.
