Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Returned after 15 years and was pleased we had, the fountains have expanded and the main one had music and laser show if you can find out when it is on! It was october but was disapointed in the amount of entertainment.Loverly beach and the bars at the end of the front were great to sit and relaxe and watch the lights on the water as the people walk by. Also a nice new walk along the front to the next very pretty cove and on from there. Port Adventra was very good the shows are worth sitting down with the time table to get the best out of them and the 10 ticket buss pass is great if using the busses as it works out 90 cents a ticket.Alot of the resort is level but watch which hotel you stay at if hills are a problem as some futher out are a long walk and a hill to finish

the resort like many more in spain can do with a makeover but i suppose like every other country who are suffering a financial decline in its revenues this will have to wait until more prosperouse times. would i return to this resort the answer to that is probably yes but would select a more upmarket hotel, and no i am no snob i just desire value for money. Indeed the Rio Park in Benidorm where i normally holiday is only 2 star but food and entertainment wise it leaves the Calypso standing.

third time in salou,always good for all.naturally the further to the centre you go the difference in prices there is.like all busy resorts,watch out for pickpockets and theives,their good at it and you won,t know anything when it happens.

There are loads of bars resturants / shops etc in the resort and the saefront bay etc is very nice and in general all clean and tidy.
Public transport is good and regular.When out ai bars you have to get the maesure of them as prices vary drastically and some that you think are ok in day suddenly charge more on an evening but there are plenty to choose from.

salou gone down hill big time very very expensive,pick pockets heaven avoid like the plague!!!!!!

cap salou is quietish but the village area has enough restaurants to enable you to eat at a different one each night,our favourite was the paddock which we ate at more often than not,special mention to christian at the paddock-my kids are still talking about you.
there is a kids area just across the road from the paddock which has trampolines,mini cars,a bouncy castle slide and a few kiddie rides,a good place to visit for an hour after your evening meal.
transport from cap salou to la pineda/cambrills/salou is regular and air conditioned.
the bus stop was just outside the h10 med village and the plana stand at the top of the hill where you can book all sorts of trips at a fraction of the price the hotel reps try to con you with.

Although not a predominantly British resort, Salou is a decievingly large, modern and clean resort offering a wide range of activities from good shopping, quiet bars to loud and lively and you could have either holiday without bumping into the other
