Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

salou great nightlife for young although i certainly wouldnt sleep if my kids were going there.most definatley not for older generation,prime target for pick pockets seen regularly on main street.shop keepers often short change you and try to swap genuine articles(football shirt) with fakes

Love salou its our second yr going to this resort people are so friendly and plesant were hopin to return again in september with our baby
the beach was lovely and clean loved it...
Definatly goin back to salou.....we have recommended it to alot of other families and couples alike they to loved salou x

The resort is nice and clean with plenty of tourist shops and cafes. In the evening you are pestered all the time by people trying to get you into restaurants, the drinks are very pricey in the bars.

This was our 5th time in Salou and it didnt dissapoint. There are no bugs, on the ground or flying (which i hate) and the floors are spotless. The only downside is the amount of bins and the occasional drain smell but the bin men work 24/7 and the resort is kept as clean as can be.
The main strip is packed with bars, pubs, shops and places to eat. Everyone is catered for in Salou as its a multi nationatily resort. Lots of russians and dutch and during June its the spanish school holidays so everywhere was busy. Port Aventura was shockingly busy but that was because of the school holidays, so the queues were terrible. Overall the theme park is amazing, lots of rides for all ages, good places to eat and under 4's go free. 2 water parks are close by Aquopolis in La Pineda, which has seal & dolphin shows and Costa Caribe next to Port Aventura which is smaller and more for younger kids. Again under 4's are free.
Great public trains and buses and there is a 'wally trolly' which is a train that goes around Salou on the roads and costs 3 euros pp but kids are free.
Beach - the beaches are some of the cleanest ive seen. Loads of loungers and brollys and the waters are really shallow which is great for the kids. The promenade is vast and has lots of play grounds, parks and nets/hoops for sports. Beach's also have kids play areas dotted along the coastline. The marina is beautiful and the headland at the far end is great on a night. Most places are 2 euros for a pint of local lager.

Great Spanish resort with fantastic beaches. Public toilets are clean and close to beach at the front. Beware choice of hotel as you may end up in party land. Pickpockets still rampant at the Bonavista Market.

Salou is a very clean place i can't fault it. The beach always has someone walking about picking up any rubbish (that's if there is any). There are plenty of real good nightclubs, or if you fancey a quiet drink you could go to a pub and watch your soaps.

We really enjoyed this resort. We didn't see any looky looky men, beggars, or time share touts. There were a few guys selling perfume on the streets but they never bothered us. There were a few people outside bars inviting you in but these were not a problem we always had a chat with them and told them we were on our way to Shenanigans. The beach in the day was packed but the bars at night were quiet. We were made very welcome at Shenanigans which is tucked in the road behind Buddys bar. This is a very comfortable karaoke bar. We will return one day thats for sure.

Cap Salou is a lovely quiet resort and only a bus ride(4 stops)to Salou or La Pinada.Aquopolis Water park was excellent free admission to dolphin/sealion show once your in. Costs £25 per person but you can return for a second day if you pay an extra £5 (bargin two visits for £30)We travelled in 2 families kids aged between 9-17 and the water slides suited everyone.The beach was small,cove like.There were plenty of restaurants to chose from to eat in. I would definatly return to Cap Salou and to the Sun Apartments,we had a great holiday.
