Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

Excursions are great value for money, Memories boat trip which you can book direct from the seafront Marmaris is a great day out as is the camel safari.
Turtle bar is a great night out for all the family, we had such a fantastic time we just can't wait until next year, so a big thank you to Club Orient and Marmaris.x x

Marmaris is a large resort, spread along a few miles of frontage, ending at the harbour area which is the most interesting.
The Bazaar offers an interesting, if frenetic, shopping experience. Restaurants around the prettiest (harbour) area are expensive and uninteresting compared to those in other areas of town. While food is inexpensive, watch out for wine, the cost of which varies wildly from reasonable to exhorbitant compared to other drinks and food.

Marmaris is an excellent place to stay. There is plenty to do for young and old. The beach is a bit of a let down as it is only small and a bit shingly. There is entertainment going on all day and night depending where you look. There is the old Marmaris town that you can visit. There is the bazaar and other markets. There are taxi boats which can take you to Turunc and Icemeler and also daily boat trips to turtle beach. Ther are lots of shops selling 'fake' designer goods which are excellent!

This is a very lively and in some places very loud resort.
Beaches are cleaned regularly it's not the best beach. Most sunbeds were free if you bought drinks or food. Fantastic retaurants, we had some brilliant meals, loads of bars. The lads are always shaking your hand, having a laugh, they seem a happy lot. We loved marmaris, would definitely go back.

The resort isn't really all that good, there is plenty of nightlife and shops but you can't be bothered going out due to all the hassle you get by the locals to visit the bar/shgop they work in. It would be great for a lads holiday or a girls holiday but I didn't think much of it for a couple. The scenery is lovely, but the beach is horrible, it small and man made and you even get hassle to go on it by bar workers. I definately wouldn't go back again.

The resort itself is nice but we do love Icmeler better, we went over to Icmeler twice for the beach as its much nicer there. You just get on a dolmus and its 1.25 millons which is peanuts really but any one thing about going to Marmaris or Icmeler dont have any hesitations you will love it.

The resort of Marmaris was ideal for us travelling as a family. It was very clean, easy access for prams and wide pavements enabeling us to stay together as we walked around in the evening.
The only real disapointment for us was the lack of facilities for children, most of the entertainment is centered around pub culture. The children were made a fuss of in the pubs but after a while they became bored and wanted to leave, usually this meant more traipsing around shops buying all the copy gear.
The beach in Marmaris was really an extension of the pubs, hotels it lay behind as each business has it`s own slice of sand filled with their sunbeds, some were free others you had to pay for. As beaches go, it was just ok.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay in Marmaris, the only thing that would put me off going again is the persistant shop owners harrassing you to come into their shops, if you are rude it is quite easy to say no, but incase you offended anyone you spend most of your time being ever so polite saying no!!!! This can wear you down after a while.
Upon reading my review, it sounds like Marmaris is a place to avoid, this really isn`t the case, It`s a lovely place with lovely people and I`m sure you would be very hard pushed not to like it if you go there.

The resort is clean, modern and friendly.
We didn't make use of the nightlife or restaurants outside the hotel, but there appears to be a large choice. There are two water parks in the resort and numerous excursions to choose from.
The people in the resort are friendly. However, you do get hassled as you walk past shops and restaurants. A polite 'no' normally suffices. Beware of the under cover bazaar area, the hard sell intensifies, but is fun all the same.
This resort is a paradise for shopahollicks like my wife. Two weeks was not enough time to see all the shops. the undercover bazaar has a good selection of various items from fake designer clothes (of good quality) to 14ct gold. Lois Vuitton shoes from £6. One seller tried to sell me a rug and even offered to pay my excess baggage bill. It is very easy to get a bargain. However, you must haggle as it is expected. Whatever price is stated, offer abot a third and work your way towards the 2/3 - 3/4 mark.
The weekly market is a must and the sellers very funny. Their favourite ploy is to ask you where you are from before shaking your hand and pulling you towards their wares.
It is easy to get around the resort with the Dolmus (minibus) that seem to go within around 100 m of all the resorts hotels. It is also cheap and easy to visit neighbouring resorts by this means of transport, costing 50p at most. We never waited more than 5 minutes for one.
Marmaris is a fun place with plenty to do for everyone. It is situated in a large cove surrounded by pine-strewn mountains and is an absolutely fantastic setting.
My wife tells me that we will definitely be returning in 2005 to finish our shopping trip.

Stayed in Marmaris, very lively, great bars and entertainment, but places like bar street can be a bit expensive, did not see any trouble in the two weeks we were there and my teenage sons felt safe even at 05:00 in the morning.lovely people.will go back next year.
